Full circuit board thermal imaging and X-ray fluoroscopy performed to identify cold solder joints on the AT2XT224E capacitive digitizer IC and NXP LPC1114 USB controller BGA package.
Micro-Soldering Rework on Digitizer IC
Removed and reflowed the Atmel maXTouch controller AT2XT224E using hot air rework station with controlled temperature profile; applied fresh lead-free SAC305 solder to all pins 1-28 with flux cleaning.
USB Controller BGA Reflow
Reballed and reflowed the NXP LPC1114 ARM Cortex-M0 USB controller using stencil-applied solder paste and nitrogen-purged reflow oven at 255°C peak temperature to repair cracked solder balls.
Capacitive Touch Calibration and Mapping
Loaded Magelis calibration utility and performed full 100-point capacitive touchscreen mapping across entire 15-inch display to verify sensor sensitivity uniformity and eliminate any remaining dead zones.
Firmware Reload and USB Handshake Verification
Restored Magelis iPC firmware from backup image and validated USB controller enumeration, data transfer speed, and interrupt latency under production-load simulation.
8-Hour Burn-In and Production Load Test
Executed extended thermal stress test with continuous touch input simulation and actual pasteurization control logic running to confirm stability, then shipped with test report certification.
