Warranty Policy

6-month repair warranty on every job — what's covered, what's not, and how to claim.

Effective Date: March 17, 2026

This Warranty Policy ("Policy") is issued by Synchronics Electronics Pvt. Ltd. ("Synchronics", "we", "us", or "the Company"), a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 / 2013, having its registered office at 4th Floor, Lotus Enora, Opp. Rutu Villa Bunglows, 24 Mt. Main Road, New Alkapuri, Gotri, Vadodara – 390 021, Gujarat, India. This Policy governs all warranty obligations arising from repair services performed by Synchronics and supersedes any prior oral or written representations regarding warranty coverage. By accepting the repaired equipment dispatched by Synchronics, the customer ("you") unconditionally agrees to the terms of this Policy.

1. Scope of Warranty Coverage

Synchronics warrants that the specific repair work performed on your equipment shall be free from defects in workmanship and that components replaced or reworked by Synchronics during the repair shall function correctly, for a period of six (6) calendar months from the date of dispatch from Synchronics' facility, as evidenced by the dispatch date on the Synchronics tax invoice.

This warranty is strictly limited to:

  • Defects in workmanship attributable directly to Synchronics' repair process.
  • Failure of components physically replaced or reworked by Synchronics during the subject repair.
  • Re-occurrence of the same original fault repaired, provided it has not been caused by any of the void conditions listed in Section 3 of this Policy.

This warranty does NOT constitute a guarantee of the entire equipment's health, longevity, or fitness for a particular purpose. Components and sub-assemblies not addressed in the original repair are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage.

2. Warranty Period

6 Months
Standard Warranty
Included on all repairs
12 Months
Extended — Shield Plus
Optional add-on plan
18 Months
Extended — Shield Pro
Optional add-on plan

The warranty period commences on the date of dispatch from Synchronics' facility as recorded on the tax invoice and/or the courier docket. The date of delivery to the customer is irrelevant for this purpose.

No warranty will be honoured for claims received after the expiry of the applicable warranty period, regardless of when the fault first manifested. Claims must be initiated in writing before expiry of the warranty period.

Extended warranty plans (Shield Plus / Shield Pro) are separately governed by the Extended Warranty Plans terms. In the event of any conflict between this Policy and the Extended Warranty Plan terms for extended-plan claims, the Extended Warranty Plan terms shall prevail.

3. Warranty Void Conditions

The warranty shall be immediately, completely, and irrevocably void upon occurrence of any of the following conditions. The existence of any single void condition is sufficient to invalidate the entire warranty, regardless of whether that condition caused or contributed to the claimed fault. Synchronics' technical assessment of void condition presence is final and binding.

🏷️

Warranty Sticker Tampered or Removed

A tamper-evident warranty sticker is affixed to every repaired unit at the time of dispatch. If this sticker is found to be absent, damaged, defaced, torn, peeled, or shows any evidence of tampering, the warranty is immediately and irrevocably void — regardless of the reason given. Customers are strictly advised not to remove or disturb this sticker under any circumstances.

🔩

Unauthorised Opening or Modification

Any attempt to open, disassemble, re-solder, modify, or otherwise interfere with the repaired unit by any person or entity other than Synchronics — including the customer, the customer's maintenance team, or any other third-party technician — will render the warranty null and void with immediate effect. Evidence of such interference includes broken seals, re-applied conformal coating, new solder joints not made by Synchronics, or replacement of components not performed by Synchronics.

Wrong Supply Voltage or Electrical Abuse

Damage resulting from application of incorrect supply voltage (under-voltage, over-voltage, single phasing on a three-phase unit, phase reversal, or incorrect frequency) voids the warranty entirely. Similarly, damage caused by connecting the repaired unit to an incorrectly rated power source, reverse polarity, or failure to use appropriate protective devices (MCBs, fuses, surge arrestors, earthing) is excluded from warranty coverage.

💧

Liquid Ingress or Moisture Damage

Any evidence of water, oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, chemical liquid, or condensation entering the unit — whether as a result of flooding, leaking pipes, wash-down procedures, or high-humidity environments without proper IP-rated enclosures — will void the warranty. Synchronics' warranty covers only units operated in environments consistent with the manufacturer's specified IP rating and ambient conditions.

💥

Physical Damage

Damage caused by dropping, impact, vibration beyond rated parameters, crushing, bending, or any other mechanical force voids the warranty. This includes damage occurring during transit (customer is solely responsible for safe packaging when shipping for warranty inspection), damage from improper mounting, or damage from objects falling onto the unit during operation.

🌩️

Power Surges, Lightning, or ESD

Damage caused by power surges, voltage spikes, lightning strikes or induced voltage from nearby lightning, electrostatic discharge (ESD), or any transient over-voltage condition is excluded from warranty. Customers are responsible for installing appropriate surge protection, lightning arrestors, and earthing systems as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.

🔥

Overloading Beyond Rated Parameters

Operating the repaired unit beyond its rated current, voltage, temperature, duty cycle, or environmental parameters as specified by the original equipment manufacturer will void the warranty. This includes driving loads greater than the rated capacity, inadequate heat dissipation, blocked cooling vents, or operating in ambient temperatures outside the specified range.

🐀

Pest, Rodent, or Insect Damage

Damage caused by rodents, insects, or other pests — including wire chewing, nest building, or contamination — is not covered under warranty. Such damage is the sole responsibility of the customer to prevent through proper enclosure maintenance and pest control.

☣️

Contamination or Corrosive Environment

Damage resulting from corrosion, chemical contamination, exposure to corrosive gases (H₂S, SO₂, Cl₂, etc.), industrial solvents, dust ingress beyond rated IP protection, or conductive particles is excluded from warranty coverage. Units must be installed and operated in environments consistent with the equipment's rated IP protection class.

🔌

Incorrect Installation or Wiring

The warranty does not cover damage arising from incorrect installation, improper wiring, failure to follow the manufacturer's installation manual, incorrect parameter programming, incorrect motor/load sizing, or failure to observe proper electrical safety standards during installation and commissioning.

📦

Damage Caused During Customer-Arranged Transit

Synchronics is not responsible for damage that occurs during transit arranged by the customer for the purpose of submitting a warranty claim. The customer must ensure that the unit is packaged adequately — in appropriate anti-static packaging with sufficient foam/bubble-wrap padding — and must insure the shipment at its own cost. Claims for transit damage must be made against the carrier, not Synchronics.

🆕

New Fault Unrelated to Original Repair

The warranty covers only the specific fault(s) repaired by Synchronics and the components replaced or reworked during that repair. New faults arising in circuits, boards, or components unrelated to the original repair scope are not covered. The warranty does not constitute a blanket guarantee of the entire equipment's health, only the specific work performed.

Claim Made After Warranty Period

No warranty claim will be entertained after the expiry of the 6-month warranty period from the date of dispatch from Synchronics' facility. The dispatch date on the Synchronics invoice is the definitive reference for calculating the warranty start date. No exceptions will be made for delayed installation or storage.

4. Warranty Claim Procedure

01

Contact Synchronics Within the Warranty Period

Email us at email@synchronics.co.in or call +91-704-308-4455 with your original repair invoice number, a description of the observed fault, and photographic/video evidence of the issue. Claims initiated verbally without written confirmation will not be accepted.

02

Obtain a Warranty RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) Number

Our technical team will evaluate your description and, if the complaint appears to fall within warranty scope, will issue a Warranty RMA number. Units received without a valid Warranty RMA number will be logged as out-of-warranty chargeable jobs. Synchronics reserves the right to decline a Warranty RMA if the preliminary description clearly indicates exclusion conditions.

03

Ship the Unit to Synchronics

Package the unit securely in anti-static material with adequate cushioning. Write the Warranty RMA number prominently on the outer packaging. The customer is responsible for all inbound shipping costs and insurance. Synchronics will bear the cost of return shipping for valid warranty repairs only.

04

Inspection and Technical Assessment

Upon receipt, Synchronics engineers will perform a detailed inspection of the warranty sticker, the unit's physical condition, and the reported fault. This assessment will determine whether the claim is valid under this policy. Synchronics' technical assessment is final and binding. The inspection process typically takes 3–5 working days.

05

Outcome: Warranty Repair or Chargeable Quotation

If the claim is valid: the unit will be repaired at no charge and dispatched within an agreed timeframe. If the claim is found to be excluded under this policy (void sticker, external damage, wrong voltage, etc.): Synchronics will provide a formal chargeable repair quotation. The customer may choose to accept or reject the quote. Rejected units will be returned freight-collect.

5. General Exclusions

In addition to the void conditions in Section 3, the following are explicitly excluded from warranty coverage under all circumstances:

  • Any consequential, indirect, or incidental loss including but not limited to production downtime, lost profits, loss of revenue, or damage to connected equipment arising from a warranty claim event.
  • Components, sub-assemblies, or circuits not worked upon during the original repair assignment.
  • Consumable items including but not limited to batteries, fuses, filters, belts, and capacitors used as buffers (where not specifically replaced during original repair).
  • Cosmetic damage, scratches, dents, or paint imperfections that do not affect functionality.
  • Software, firmware, parameter settings, or calibration issues unless specifically confirmed as included in the repair scope on the original invoice.
  • Any failure caused by use of non-genuine, counterfeit, or sub-standard replacement parts installed by any party other than Synchronics.
  • Equipment not originally repaired by Synchronics but presented for a warranty claim.
  • Faults that cannot be reproduced at Synchronics' facility under normal operating conditions.
  • Damage to third-party equipment connected to, or operated in conjunction with, the repaired unit.
  • Any loss or damage arising from the customer's failure to follow Synchronics' dispatch notes, installation recommendations, or operating guidelines provided at the time of repair.

6. Abandoned Equipment

If the customer fails to respond to a warranty assessment outcome (whether valid or void) or fails to arrange collection or return of the equipment within 30 days of Synchronics issuing a written notification, the equipment shall be deemed abandoned. Synchronics reserves the right to dispose of, disassemble, or recycle abandoned equipment without any further liability to the customer. Synchronics shall not be responsible for compensating the customer for abandoned equipment.

7. Limitation of Liability

Synchronics' entire liability under this Warranty Policy shall not, in any event, exceed the amount paid by the customer for the original repair service as stated in the Synchronics tax invoice. This liability cap applies in aggregate across all claims arising from the same repair job.

Synchronics shall not be liable under this Policy for any indirect, consequential, special, incidental, or punitive damages, howsoever arising, including but not limited to loss of production, loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill.

Nothing in this Policy shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Indian law.

Synchronics is an independent repair service provider. The equipment repaired may be used in mission-critical applications. The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that the repaired equipment is suitable for its intended application and for implementing appropriate safety, redundancy, and backup measures. Synchronics makes no representation regarding the suitability of the repaired equipment for any specific application.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

This Policy shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of India, including the Indian Contract Act, 1872, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and other applicable statutes in force from time to time.

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with this Policy, or the breach, termination, or invalidity thereof, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals situated in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.

Prior to initiating legal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation and, if unresolved within 30 days, through binding arbitration conducted in Vadodara, Gujarat, India, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India) as amended from time to time. The arbitration shall be conducted in the English language and the arbitral award shall be final and binding on both parties.

9. Amendments to this Policy

Synchronics reserves the right to amend, modify, or replace this Warranty Policy at any time. The version of the Policy in force at the time of the original repair dispatch shall govern that repair's warranty claim. Customers are encouraged to review this Policy at synchronics.co.in/warranty-policy/ before submitting a claim.
