About the Role
Synchronics Electronics is seeking an experienced Computer Hardware Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic Engineering team in Vadodara. With over 180 employees and 30 years of excellence in industrial electronics repair, we maintain and service equipment from 50+ global brands including Siemens, ABB, and Allen Bradley. In this role, you'll be responsible for comprehensive hardware maintenance, diagnostics, and support for industrial computing systems, Panel PCs, and embedded systems used across critical manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities
- 1Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial computers, Panel PCs, and embedded systems used in manufacturing environments
- 2Diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware issues including motherboards, processors, memory modules, storage devices, and peripherals
- 3Execute OS installations across multiple platforms (Windows XP, Windows 7, specialized embedded operating systems) and ensure proper software configuration
- 4Manage data integrity through HDD cloning, disk imaging, and secure backup procedures for critical industrial systems
- 5Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity, IP protocols, and communication protocols for integrated Panel PC systems
- 6Document all maintenance activities, technical issues, and resolutions in company systems to build institutional knowledge
- 7Collaborate with senior engineers and field technicians to ensure minimal downtime for client industrial equipment
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in computer hardware maintenance and troubleshooting
- Proficiency with multiple Windows operating systems (XP, 7) and embedded OS installation and configuration
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, IP protocols, and industrial network configurations
- Demonstrated experience with Panel PC maintenance, IPC (Industrial PC) systems, and specialized industrial computers
- Proven expertise in HDD cloning, disk imaging, backup solutions, and data recovery procedures
- Based in Vadodara with ability to join immediately
- Strong problem-solving mindset with ability to work independently and as part of a team
