About the Role
Synchronics Electronics is seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Service Technician to join our Engineering team. With over 180 employees and a legacy of 30 years of excellence, we are India's trusted partner for industrial electronics repair, servicing equipment from 50+ global brands including Siemens, ABB, and Allen Bradley. In this role, you will take ownership of complex repair projects, leveraging your 5+ years of hands-on expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair sophisticated industrial instruments independently. You will work with cutting-edge diagnostic equipment and advanced soldering technologies while mentoring junior technicians and contributing to continuous improvement in our repair methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- 1Perform comprehensive repair and maintenance of industrial electronic instruments, VFDs, PLCs, automation controllers, and specialized equipment from multinational brands
- 2Execute precision soldering and SMD-level PCB repairs using advanced equipment (hot-air stations, reflow ovens, microscopes) with strict quality adherence
- 3Independently diagnose complex technical faults using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and specialized diagnostic tools; create detailed troubleshooting reports
- 4Ensure all repairs meet ISO 9001 quality standards and company protocols; conduct final testing and validation before equipment release
- 5Collaborate with technical teams to document repair procedures, share best practices, and mentor junior technicians in advanced repair techniques
- 6Stay current with emerging technologies in industrial electronics and implement new repair methods to enhance efficiency and quality
- 7Maintain accurate service logs, spare parts inventory management, and technical documentation for all assigned repair projects
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in electronics repair with proven expertise in PCB-level troubleshooting and repair
- Advanced proficiency in SMD (Surface Mount Device) soldering and rework techniques; experience with hot-air rework stations and reflow soldering preferred
- Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and repair complex industrial electronic instruments with minimal supervision
- Strong experience with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, logic analyzers)
- Track record of maintaining high-quality standards with attention to detail and documentation
- Self-motivated, passionate about electronics repair, and committed to continuous technical learning and skill development
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and contribute to knowledge sharing and process improvements
